About Dry Ice Blasting. Dry ice blasting is like sand blasting, plastic bead blasting, or soda blasting where  a material, in this case frozen dry ice (C02) is accelerated in a pressurized air stream to impact a surface to be cleaned or prepared.Rather than using an abrasive media to grind the surface, dry ice blasting uses soft dry ice, accelerated at supersonic speeds, and creates mini-explosions on the surface to lift and remove the undesirable item off the underlying substrate. Dry ice blasting has many unique and superior benefits over traditional blasting media.
  •   is a non-abrasive, nonflammable and non-conductive cleaning method.
  •   is environmentally-friendly and contains no secondary contaminants such as solvents or grit
  •   is clean and approved for use in the food industry
  •   allows items to be cleaned in place without time-consuming dis-assembly
  •   is used without damaging active electrical or mechanical parts
  •   is used to remove production residues, release agents, contaminants, paints, oils & biofilms
  • is used for many general cleaning applications
Reasons Why Dry Ice Blasting is Superior. As a commercial, industrial and residential cleaning service Cold Tech focuses on technology that helps our clients. The faster, safer and more efficiently we can clean, the more often our clients reach out us. C02 is a product that changes the way we do business. Dry ice blasting uses compressed air to accelerate frozen carbon dioxide (CO2) "dry ice" pellets to a high velocity. A compressed air supply of 80 PSI/50 scfm can be used in this process. Dry ice pellets can be made on-site or supplied. Pellets are made from food grade carbon dioxide that has been specifically approved by the FDA, the EPA and the USDA. Carbon dioxide is a non-poisonous, liquefied gas, which is both inexpensive and easily stored at work sites.
COLDTECH Dry Ice Cleaning offers the state of the art in industrial and commercial cleaning.C02 Dry ice blasting is superior to most other cleaning processes because - the product is environmentally safe, frozen liquid converts to vapor on application so it dries instantly.Dry Ice Cleaning can clean intricate spaces and around wires and plumbing and is also non-abrasive.Dry Ice Blasting reduce or eliminates   downtime, reduces man hours and emits no secondary waste.
